I've had these for a couple of months and used them for everything from regular E/drop D, and down to drop A (where it is now) to play with a friend's 7-string. While about as hard to play in E as you would imagine given the thickness, tone was strong and smooth. But in A right now it intonates perfectly, has great tension, and hasn't lost tune at all. Hardtail RG with one EMG in the bridge for reference. From ballsy blues down to metal, these will do what you want.
I've heard of complaints about the plain 3rd string causing strange vibrations/noise due to being "too thick" to resonate properly. I haven't experienced it, but it is one thing to keep in mind. Apparently using a 24 wound string resolves it, in case it is needed.

Apparently according to the product features, these strings can also be used to wash clothes! This is amazing! they also dry by themselves!

i only use ernie ball and will not use anything else. I put the "not even slinky" on my SG and tune drop C; they rock. i seldom have to retune even in the low setting. as odd as it sounds i put "power slinkys" on my acoustic; try it and you'll never go with acoustic strings again. as for my strat i put "hybrid slinkys"
you can always trust Ernie Ball!!!

I basically ordered these strings to replenish my boyfriends guitar string stock. He prefers these strings since he tunes his guitar in drop B for playing metal/hardcore styles of music.

I play Progressive and Thrash metal, and these strings hold out nicely. Tuned them down to A sharp (b flat?) and they sounded sweet. Back up to E (standard) and they provide nice full sounding tone.
