"A good electronics primer for guitar..." 2010-03-09
By Kenneth Hall (Brevard, NC USA)
I ordered this book as a reference for changing out the cheap electrics in my offshore guitar. The understanding that I gained is invaluable and I now have much more confidence in my electronics-oriented guitar projects. The reason for the four star rating is I found the book to be a bit dated as far as what is available today. The glossary of terms and explanation of pickup types alone is worth the price of the book...

 "Needs to be updated!" 2009-01-10
By Mark Sloan (Godz Country)
This book may have been cutting edge when it was first published but it needs to be scrapped and updated. Too much info about Shecter pickups and stuff nobody uses anymore. Some good information about how the electronics work, pots, switches pickups etc. Modern guitars have piezos, midi pickups. There was a brief mention of piezos but nothing on midi. There are lots of new pickups on the market and these are discussed either. Still, I found the book informative just not current.

"The best book available on guitar electronics, twenty years ago" 2008-12-17
By Michael A. Duvernois (Minneapolis, MN United States)
Now there's just very little point. There's nothing in here that you can't find with a quick internet search. There are a number of books, and book types, that have become irrelevant with the net. This is one of them.

 "I would look elsewhere" 2007-09-25
By Bruce Rader (Newport, RI)
This has some good GENERAL, but dated, information. I have been unable to find a good electronics book for guitars. If i had been able to read it first i probably would not have bought it. I think my next stop is a basic electricity book.

 "Excellent bag" 2009-06-14
By Zachary Eck (Texas, US)
I haven't put a guitar in it yet (I haven't gotten mine, it's still being shipped), but it's not going to affect my review. The padding is reasonably thick, I'm not worried about my guitar being damaged by light bumps.

The storage space for extra strings/cords/etc is more than twice as much as my bass bag (it might help that it has two pouches though, which also give more padding for the body of the guitar), so whenever I bring both of my instruments with me somewhere I will be putting most of the stuff in this bag rather than my bass bag. It also has some slots for pens (or pen-shaped objects) and other stuff; the storage space itself makes up most of the value of this bag. I think this is the best selling point.

The backpack-style straps are also really nice, you can't tell from the picture but it does have two straps (that's one of the things I wasn't sure about when I bought it). The straps are sooooo comfortable, and won't leave your shoulders sore before a gig so you won't be hurting the whole time (unless you have a guitar made of lead, then the comfort of the straps won't do much =P ). The side of the strap that contacts your shoulders is a really soft cloth, which feels nice to the touch.

Something else not show in the picture is a strip of that reflective stuff so people in cars will see you walking along the side of the street in the middle of the night (who does this though, idk, but it's there if you need it!) and a little rubber badge of the company who made the bag on the top pouch.

To close, I haven't found any stray threads or anything, it's been really well made, and I would highly recommend this bag. I'm sure there are probably very few bags that are as good as or better than this, some with more padding, and one I even know that will hold two guitars. But these are more expensive, and if you want to go that all-out on a bag you might as well get a case. Great deal for the price!

 "Nicely made gig bags" 2008-12-26
By Lynda A. Dietz (USA)
We bought two of these, one for each of our sons. These are really nicely made, with plenty of room for accessories, music, pencils/pens, whatever you'd need to carry along with you. Sraps and stitching are solidly done, no cheap material, nicely padded.

 "Nice little bag." 2008-05-06
By Elena M. Allen (usa)
Received the gig bag today and was quite impressed by it. My little gibson fits well in it and seems protected enough. It has enough storage space for a lot of extra items you might need to carry with you. I have a tuner, headphone amp, a set of portable speakers, strap, amp chord, sheet music, and a few other misc. items in it already. There plenty of room for more stuff. I'm pretty sure this bag will be well worth the 20 dollars.

"Good Bag for 3/4 Sized Guitars" 2010-02-06
By Loveguitar (Georgia, USA)
I bought this bag to make it easy for my daughter to carry her 3/4 sized classical guitar. It will easily hold the guitar and the pouch on the front is big enough to hold any accessories, method books, etc... and I like that a lot. It is lightly padded but understand that any padded case is not a good substitute for a hard shell case. The inside is lined with a soft silk-like polyester material which should not scratch the guitar. The zipper on the side seems durable enough but I would still be careful while zipping it closed because if you break the zipper the case is basically useless. Again, a gig bag will offer some protection to the instrument and makes it easier to carry, but if you want to seriously protect your expensive guitars then fork over the money for a quality hard shell case.

It has a regular handle to carry the bag like a suitcase, and a quality strap to carry on one's back. So far I'm fine with this particular bag and expect it to hold up for the time my daughter is playing this particular guitar.

By bettie page (CA, USA)
Case is great and all went fine with the transaction. Just BEWARE you will start getting many catalogs from them. I think they also sell your name and address because I have gotten other music catalogs too.

I bought one little case, I do not need 20 catalogs of music products coming to my house. I can not stand getting catalogs I do not request.

For all you "Green People", why don't you make a fuss over the junk mail and catalogs we all receive EVERYDAY!

I bought this for my 7year old's guitar. It's a great bag for a first time guitarist when your not quite ready to make the huge investment in the hard cases. Plus this bag has made transporting her guitar much easier for her.

"Great case for the price" 2010-03-01
By Carlen Dixon (Hazard, KY)
The case is really well-made - especially considering the under $40 price tag. I have a Floyd Rose Speedloader guitar which has a longer headstock - so I was a bit worried about it fitting. But it fits with plenty of room to spare.

 "awesome" 2010-02-05
By Ray (Santa Barbara, CA USA)
This guitar case is an incredible deal! First of all, it is a hard case, well-lined and well-built, so it just seems to be much more protective than those soft-sided, padded soft cases. Second, the price is unbelievable: With free shipping and the sale price, the true cost of this hard case is just a matter of a few dollars more than that of a far less protective, and frankly less attractive, soft case. In addition, this case is lockable (keys included), for even more security for your guitar. Finally, there is a separate large internal storage compartment resting under the the guitar storage area, for all your accessories. (The seller should highlight these additional selling points in the description of this item.) Your guitar deserves the best protection affordable, and this is it, in my opinion.

 "Some Issues" 2010-01-20
By Conrad McConrad (Utah)
I ordered 2 of these cases, one electric and the other for a bass. They are the same case, just one is bigger. The latches don't ever seem quite closed, but they are secure. The handle doesn't feel secure either, but it's not failed. Biggest issue is QA. Mine came with tears and rips and the compartment box wasn't screwed in. You could see the screw, but it wasn't connected to the box. My wife didn't want to hassle with returns and since it technically still works, I didn't press it. The electric case is maybe a bit too universal and could use some added neck stability. I usually found my neck out of the groove and it was moving around inside the case. I guess for [...] bucks, it's a pretty good deal and it does protect your guitar, if it stays put.

this is the second one of these I purchased.

Pleanty of room in the main part for the guitar and other pockets for

music, picks, etc..

Priced right and made of good durable materials that will last.

Recommended for those of you taking lessons or storing your guitar.

You won't be dis-appointed

"The best low-end gig bag available!" 2010-01-22
By Welcome McCartney
I mean, obviously any hardshell case is more effective protection, but for the money (a measly $20!) you get a solid case for your axe! I carry my Takamine S35 Jasmine around in this case, and they must have literally been built for each other it fits so perfectly!

A worthy purchase for anyone who needs inexpensive transportation of their instrument.

"You get exactly what you paid for" 2009-12-07
By J. Brown (MA, USA)
I recently bought this bag and have been using it mostly for safe storage - and it works great for that. The bag is padded enough that it is protected from minor disturbances - the kind that could happen around the house. If you are looking for a bag to travel from gig to gig and walk around with, this probably isn't the bag for you. It doesn't feel very durable, I'm not sure how long the stitching would last being carried around all the time.

However, for 20 bucks this is a great buy if you plan on using it to keep your guitar unscratched while it sits there waiting for you to play it.
