"Nice, but a bit more bass please. Great value/comfort." 2010-03-14
By X. Barnes (Detroit, MI USA)
Very nice headphones. Good sound quality. Lacks in base, unfotunately. EXTREMELY comfortable, even in sessions of more than five hours at a time. Great value for the price. If I lose them, I will buy another pair.

 "decent for the price" 2010-02-10
By Adil Q (MD USA)
For the price, its too much to expect high fidelity from this pair. On the plus side, its reasonably comfortable though perhaps a tad heavy for my liking. The coiled cord looks solidly built, though the wires connecting the ear-pieces are thin and need careful handling. IMO, the balance of the sound is biased to mids and highs, the bass sounds a little "distant". Overall the sound is a bit muddy.

I use this pair to watch stuff on my computer, not for listening to music. I would recommend putting in a little extra if you care about the quality of playback, but this pair works for general use, and looks like it can take some damage.

 "Bad fit, quiet playback" 2010-01-16
By Levi Wilbert (Evergreen, CO)
I bought these for a class I had, Music Applications on the Personal Computer. I bought them from a store about 2-3 years ago for about $80. They sound fine, except the level is very low. I usually have to have my computer, iPod, or what have you turned up to 80 to get the playback I usually get at 60 (on a 0-100 scale). Also, the pair I bought hardly fit me. They are loose, and if lean down they easily fall off (and I don't have small head, in fact my head's a little larger than normal), and this is with the headphones adjusted to its smallest fit.

The only plus was that once they were at a good level, they sounded fine. No overly accentuated bass, highs sound pretty good.

I'm surprised to see they are now $30, as I bought them from a local retailer that is fairly prominent.

I was just displeased about the level and fit. Of course, I'm stuck with them now.

If you are buying these, I recommend trying them out to make sure they fit and also to listen to an album on an iPod or some device that you have familiarity with its normal playback levels.

Would not buy again.

"Perfect fit and and function for voice over" 2009-11-23
By Harlan Hogan
For the price and the dynamics involved in monitoring voice overs theses are hard to beat. Very comfortable on your HEAD and pocketbook I find the M20's a true bargain - they won't break the bank or your heart if you drop a pair too many times (don't ask!). Lot's of waaaaay more expensive cans out there but for most voice overs they are over kill. I team these up with my Porta-Booth [[ASIN:B0015TFO24 Porta-booth - Portable Sound Studio with Two Compression Sacs] and VO: 1-A microphone [ASIN:B002SMYUFY VO: 1-A Harlan Hogan Signature Series Voice Over Microphone] on the road.

"Good for the money, even better for a bit more." 2009-10-12
By Phil
While these headphones may seem to only offer a high degree of comfort they can in-fact pack a serious punch. For just a little bit more you can also get this FiiO E5 Headphone Amplifier. These Headphones are designed to take some punch to get going because they are monitor headphones, and they do not noise cancel. But if you put that Headphone amplifier on it you can't even turn it up halfway or you will melt your own face off. I can't even turn it up a third of the way without my eye sockets bleeding.

In my honest opinion, I think these headphones and an amp will do the job for [...] bucks. So if you don't want to spend $[...] on some really kickin' headphones, this will do the trick.
