 "A little flaky" 2010-04-14
By MisterStegs (Chicago, IL)
I had a few issues with mine that a potential buyer might want to be aware of.

If I leave the 9V battery in overnight, it drains it, even if the pedal is not switched on (meaning the red light isn't on). This is my first pedal and I am a newbie at electric, so maybe that's common. However I find it annoying that you have to take the battery out when you are done using it.

Additionally, the battery does not fit properly like a 9V should. The contacts do not align.

On the pro side it sounds great and looks pretty cool. All in all I'm happy with it but wished I knew about the battery caveats beforehand. As with my fender electric guitar, this thing comes with pretty much zero instructions. Would be nice to have for rookies like myself.

 "Rock solid pedal" 2010-01-30
By Derek D. Myles (Boise, Idaho)
This pedal is simple, built like a rock and has surprisingly little noise in comparison to other distortion pedals (Danelectro, Boss, DOD). As all distortion pedals however, a noise filter does help esp. when chaining several together. All in all, a super value and a reliable pedal for the money. Would be nice to see Fender expand the pedal line past the current three (Flanger, Chorus & Distortion).

 "A pretty good investment..." 2009-06-22
By C. Henrickson (Nebraska USA)
I bought this pedal a year ago, and to this day it still performs at its best. The battery hook up thing in the chamber gets pretty loose but its nothing to be concerned about. It seems to work better in larger amps, practice amps kind of muffle the sound. With a few minutes of experimenting with this pedal, you can find any sound your lookin for :)

 "Can't beat the price!" 2009-03-18

I bought the distortion pedal for my son who is a beginning guitar player. He loved it. It even came with the battery. I wish it did come a 9V power pack.
