Buy Cheap DigiTech Vocalist Live 4 Harmony-Effects Processor

Buy Low Price From Here Now

The Digitech Vocalist Live 4 is THE low-priced solution for vocalists looking to get accurate vocal harmony on stage or in the studio. The Vocalist Live uses guitar chord analysis to build the harmony structure, not the main vocal, so it is much simpler to use. It tracks what chords are being played and creates a harmony chord in that key. Genius!!The VL4 also has an integrated mixer. Just plug your vocal mic and guitar into the inputs and plug your PA and guitar amp to the outputs. Simple as that. Easy stomp-box operation activates or deactivates the harmony processor. Same goes for the built in digital effects- stomp on/stomp off. An unbelievable amount of Bang for your Buck.A surprising number of songsfoolother harmonizers because these songs just do not work with a single key/scale setting. In fact, any song that has the same note sung over two different chords (for example, a C sung in the melody over a C maj / F maj chord sequence) is going to confound conventional harmonizers.Vocalist Live uses breakthrough musIQ technology to directly analyze the output of any electric or pre-amplified acoustic guitar (no special MIDI guitars or hex-outputs needed). Then it generates the correct vocal harmony. For example, if you are singing an A over the chords that are generally found in the key of G, Vocalist will harmonize with a C. But, if you then play an A major, Vocalist will shift to the C#...because like any good harmony singer, it listens to the guitar! With musIQ, forget about the technology, just sing and play! Skip complicated programming and having to analyze each song chord-by-chord; just follow these steps.Plug in your microphone and guitar;Pick a 3rd or 5th-above or below harmony pr

"Great little box for a one man band" 2010-07-26
By Mahlerman
I got the Vocalist Live 4 a few weeks ago. Since I am not a full time vocalist it is extremely enjoyable to have my own back up singers that happen to sing extremely well in tune and with me. OK, so if you do a blind modulation with the musIQ running you can fake it out, but then again, many professional singers have trouble with that. And for someone like me who will usually perform as a singer/guitar player by myself it just adds an extra dimension to my personal one man band.

I have only used the out of the box presets and in all likelihood will never need to program my own backup sounds but it seems easy enough to do if I want.

So far, my only complaint is that there is no power switch on the thing so I use a switched power strip to achieve the same thing.

I might also like the ability to save and program the device from a computer but that feature is not available so I'll just have to write down any of my own settings if I happen to do that . . .

Overall though, this unit sounds and performs great and is really something you can use out of the box . . . Even my wife and son think it sounds pretty cool . . .

 "Fantastic !" 2010-03-21
By Wild Blue Yonder (The Southwest)
I haven't stopped playing with this machine since I bought it. I don't perfom live, I record at home and I love being able to just tap away while I'm playing and find a suitable harmony for the song I'm writing. The presets are excellent; my favourite so far is "Blind Boys", sounds like I have a group of experienced singers right behind me following my every note. It has also helped my songwriting by introducing harmonies and arrangements that hadn't occurred to me. From even a simple melody, it fleshes out the entire song and improves the sound by 1000%. I admit I have a limited range as a vocalist, so to be able to hear those high and low harmonies exactly as I can hear them in my head, makes this Digitech worth every penny.

So if you play the guitar and do even a simple run up or down the fretboad, you can sing just the one note into the mic and the harmonies will flow with the chords and notes you play. Some of the names of the presets will give you an idea of how the harmonies will sound; CSN sounds like you-know-who, there's one called "Tenors" another "Gospel" etc. As a female singer, I get blown away by hearing my "male back up singers" harmonising away! I've never been very good at hitting the harmony a 3rd *below* the melody. I tend to wobble all over the place when I try to work it out, but this thing does it and it sounds brilliant. As an added bonus, it's also given me a ton more confidence in my own abilities as singer, harmonies or not.

So it still sounds like "you", but with an added flavour and tone with the harmonies. I love doing a load of "what will happen when I try this.." scenarios. Play with some Beatles songs (think "Here there and Everywhere" "If I Fell" and "Rain" and you will get an idea of some of what it can do) Try some Queen harmonies even the Andrews sisters. I fell about laughing when I tried the Chordettes "Mr Sandman!" It's the most fun I've had with any piece of musical hardware in many years.

Most definitely recommended !

Edit April 2010: Been playing with it for quite a few more weeks now and it still amazes me. I've used it in a few of my tunes and it really helps on the overall feel. With these great harmonies, they sound so much more professional. Love it.

 "OK . . .but" 2010-03-11
By Jaymis (Eastern USA)
The Digitech vocalist live 4 does have a lot of bells and whistles, however, there are a few problem areas. I tried two different units because I wasn't satisified with the first one I received. Both worked exactly the same. Called Digitech and they were of no help whatsoever, just implied that the "new" version (rack version) had a different pre-amp and my problem would be resolved "if" I upgraded (hey, I just bought the damn thing). I have several guitars, all newer technology, finer instruments and I could not always input a signal that would be strong enough without a preamp (acording to the manual which implied signal strength via light meter, and of course my ears), which would give you an input light saying that the signal strength is adequate. I found this to be a pain in the ass, to say the least. All of a sudden a simple connection required another device to go through at an additional expense and more cords. For those that are not informed, if the signal strength is not strong, you "will" eventually go out of tune and it will be noticed unless you are tone deaf.

I like the idea, it works, I'll keep it but it should have been better. Having to buy a pre-amp (I used a Art tube mp) to make it work properly, that simply sucks. All of my guitars are quality instruments and not outdated. It just could have been configured with a better pre-amp. I hate additional cords when not needed.

Now. . . all said and done, this is still a better buy (once configured properly), than the TC version which is about twice of what I paid. I gave it three stars simply for that reason.

I think that the DigiTech Vocalist Live 4 is one of the best things since sliced bread.

It has many great features and options.

I have also found it to make me more creative in my song writing process and is big help to the average person looking for new ways to spice up his/her songs vocally. I also way I can have "back up singers" harmonizing with me without the hours of practice and retakes.

Thank You.

 "Case for X3 review" 2010-05-14
By Joshua Czufin
This is a great bag. It may not protect as well as a hard case but it definitely does a good job. It is well padded and fits the floor pod X3 perfectly. The extra pouch on the front is very nice to store the power cable in. I've been keeping my pod in the original box it came in and this makes it much easier to tote around. well worth it to keep this valuable item safe.

 "The Almost Everything Bag" 2008-05-02
By J. Hartman (Lancaster, PA United States)
I'm constantly dragging my gear to Saturday practice at church and needed a convenient bag. I recently purchased a Line 6 Floor Pod Plus (5 stars) and needed a safe way to store and tote that among other things.

This bag holds the Pod, a power strip, the AC Adaptor, three intrument cables, a mic cable, the power cord to my amp, the manual and I can also squeeze in my Shure SM57 in its pouch. It's snug with all that gear, but the zippers are really tough and the zipper pulls are a heavy duty metal. The strap is heavy duty and has nice padding and very solid metal "clips" (for lack of a better word) to attach it to clips on the bag. They are double reinforced. I sling it on my shoulder and I've got one free hand for a guitar and the other to open doors.

So really, my pedal and all of my accessories go in this bag and that's it. No more gear laying around in my trunk. Plus the pedal is very well protected. The bag is well padded all around. Also, it cuts down on trips back to the car.

Now if I can only fit my amp in there...

 "Love this magic box" 2010-05-13
By SeekingTraveler
I love my Line 6 POD X3 Live Guitar Multi Effects Pedal. With this modern marvel, you should be able to achieve just about any tone you can imagine (the Line 6 website explains its capabilities in detail). With a little experimentation, you should be able to easily find your own unique tone.

After a brief tutorial, and a few minutes with the included manual, it was easy for me to dial through the hundreds of amazing presets. While this device is quite easy to use right out of the box, it might take years to discover all of its capabilities. Mostly I am using the POD X3 Live to replace my existing effects pedals (distortion, chorus, flanger, delay, wah) for use with my Stratocaster. I doubt if I will ever use those pedals again. I am using the device plugged directly into the guitar input on my amplifier; it sounds great.

I also appreciate the built-in tuner (which mutes while tuning, of course), the headphone jack, the microphone input, and the USB output (to use your computer for recording and mixing). Another great feature, is its ability for separate tone processing of the guitar and microphone (vocal) inputs.

I would really love to have a comprehensive instructional DVD that explains how to setup the various "stomps" and "mods." The manufacturer (Line 6) does have many instructional videos posted on their channel on a popular video website; but it would be nice to have select instructional videos (on a DVD) shipped with the product.

"Fantastic if you use it with the right equipment!" 2010-04-20
By Jeremy Allison
If you try to use this with an amp, it will not sound like it should. I've had mine for 6 months and have searched for something to make it sound like it does in the headphones. I've tried 3 different amps, yes plugging into the aux or return and a pair of monitors. The monitors sounded great, but mine were only 5" so they lacked a little depth for me especially on heavy distortion or drop D. I bought a Fender Passport 150 and it sounds great with the X3. I also use a Line 6 Variax and I can now go from Acoustic, sitar, Drop D Distortion, many more and they all sound fantastic! Again the X3 is fantastic, but only if you use it like it was meant to be(Live through a PA). I give it 5 stars! If it were stolen I would buy another.

WORD OF WARNING: Anyone who is a Mac User, Line6 support is horrible for the Mac.

Current programs and drivers are NOT working for Snow Leopard.

This is typical of Line6. SL has been out for developers for over a year. Line6 has chosen to ignore the Mac user base. I suggest another company, like Native Instruments.

 "Awesome" 2009-05-06
By S. Gaither (Alabama)
I feel like I own every guitar amp ever made. It truly does imitate amps very well. It is a bit overwhelming to jump into the learning curve, but youtube videos were very helpful. I have yet to find a way to make my electric guitar sound like an acoustic, which is a bit disappointing. I was hoping to eliminate one guitar to my act. I believe it is the best effects pedal made. Maybe I haven't learned how to make it work correctly, but when I switch from A bank to D, then back to A, I am no longer on the preset that I had set up when I went to D. The manual that came with it was version A, and D is the current, so I had to print a 90 something page manual. But, I love it over all. I'm walking out the door to practice with it now.

 "Great DVS" 2007-12-25
By DIRTYROTTEN (Queens, New York)
Ok I'm rating this as compared to other digital vinyl solutions. I'm among the few that have owned and used 3 different DVSs (Final Scratch 2, Serato Scratch Live and Traktor Scratch). I currently own both SSL and TS.

First off, I do use vinyl and none of the DVS can truly compare to actual vinyl. High quality mp3s, they still fall short.

But Serato is the best of all the ones I've used for 2 simple reasons: 1) Customer support (their forums are great and they are always coming out with FREE updates) and 2) user interface (not alot of features but clean and simple; just what I need).

Pros:

Best customer support for DJs

Simple intuitive user interface

Great low latency, great for scratching

Cons:

No recording input on box

ASIO support is not great

Traktor Scratch wins on scratching though. TS sounds better when scratching. The Audio8 DJ that comes with TS is great. The multicore cables are great (I use it with my Serato actually).

Pros:

Great sounding scratches, closest sounding to real vinyl

Beautiful looking and functioning hardware (Audio8DJ & cables)

Software offers many more features than SSL

Cons:

Ugly looking software interface

Customer support has not been great (not just for me; check their forums for proof)

SSL has been around for a while and you can say that the hardware is outdated but it works the way it needs to. I'm a scratch DJ / turntablist and SSL does the job for me. I've shelved Traktor Scratch for now, only using the A8DJ to record my mixes from Serato and the cables.

"Good product, but does have its drawbacks." 2007-04-17
By Andrew J. Fong (philly)
This is a good product and very useful to any type of DJ. I am a battle dj and I have been able to put togeather the perfect compilation mp3 of all my favorite sounds and movie clips so that I can scratch them. This is a great thing. There is absolutely no lag time in scratching which is key. I have not used it yet at a club but the ease factor of not having to lug a crate of records is very nice.

However, there are some probs I would not use this at a club unless you have complete trust in your computer. I have a new Apple Macbook less than a year old and the ram is at minimum requirement, for this product. If you do not have a new computer, I would upgrade that before buying this product. If you take this to a club and your computer crashes or overheats you may be in big trouble with no records on hand. Also, I cannot believe the dip in sound quality that you get using MP3's. MP3's that I have on my computer that sound fine in my car and on my Ipod sound too lound when played through scratch live. I have to run these tracks through the Garageband program on my laptop to turn down the sound acouple db. Obviously that is a long and annoying process. Also you cannot use scratch live with songs downloaded from the Itunes website. There for only mp3's downloaded from free sites can be used. So in some cases I have had to download a track from a free site that I already have paid for from Itunes. Again this is another annoying step to getting togeather your library of Mp3's.

Overall I like the product it will be useful for me, but I would recommend only to people who have very new or very powerful computers.

Update: I should have changed this review earlier but forgot I wrote it. The sound levels problem I had is fixed simple issue, I got the answer on the Scratch Live msg board. Mods are very through about responding to questions. It is def the best msg board for Dj's

Peace,

2one

 "An amazing product" 2007-01-12
By Thom74 (OC, USA)
The first concern about this product is whether there is any lag during scratching, and amazingly, there is absolutely none. It works just as you'd want it to, completely naturally. It's hard to believe that you're actually manipulating a digital file when you scratch or speed up or stop the control record. You can even put the stylus down a little way into the control record and the song will start at whatever point that represents. Plus, you can use your turntable to scroll through your songlists.

The software interface is classy and well-designed, and the actual control box is solid. It's a pretty amazing product - a great idea, so simple, yet so effective. My only concern is that it encourages the move away from vinyl, and frankly, the sound quality hit you take with MP3 is pretty big. But not everybody can lug cases of vinyl around and so, I really wouldn't hesitate about buying one of these.
