We are currently using this stand for a guitar and banjo. It looks nice and it isn't too bulky which is definitely a plus. Best of all, it's very sturdy.

"Nice Guitar Stand - Study & Inexpensive" 2009-10-31
By Loren Malm (Anderson, IN USA)
First - a note about guitar stands in general:

When I first got my acoustic I didn't know how important it was to have a guitar stand - I just stored my guitar in its case. What I didn't realize at that time was that despite my best intentions, a guitar stored in a case doesn't get played... A helpful brother-in-law who's been playing for most of his life told me I really needed to get a stand and keep my guitar on it, and I must admit this small change has greatly contributed to my ability to just pick up the guitar and play. Your mileage may vary, but for me this stand was an important accessory!

About this specific guitar stand:

This is a nice dual-guitar stand, I've got a large acoustic which is very light, and a Les Paul copy which is very heavy, and yet the stand never seems unbalanced or unsturdy. I was also a little concerned the tops of the headstocks would hit each other (the tops of the guitars angle toward each other on this stand) but that turned out not to be a problem, provided the top of the stand (which holds the necks) is raised to the top of the center pole.

The only "negative" about this stand would be the rubber "straps" which are supposed to hold the guitar neck in place are about worthless - I tried to use them a couple of times and gave up. First, it's not really needed (gravity is all you need) and second, they are very difficult to put on and take off. My advice - just ditch them and if you have a real $5,000 Les Paul you want to make sure doesn't fall out of stand, use a Velcro strap or something around the top tongs of the stand - or get a wall hook. For everyone else, this stand is great - the guitar is not falling out and is a lot easier to pick up and play than if it was stored in a case.

Well built and stable. I ordered a triple holder by OnStage but it wouldn't hold 3 acoustic guitars.

My daughter got an electric guitar for Christmas and we needed something to keep the new guitar and the acoustic off the floor. This fit the bill perfectly. Very easy to set up...she is only 9 and it doesn't take up alot of space. Arrived quickly and is sturdy. I think it will last....until the next guitar! Great value for the money.

 "Excellent Product and Value!" 2009-08-30

This is a strong and beautifully made product. I bought 2 and am buying another. This is a great deal and I highly recommend it to one and all. It works great for all acoustic, solid bodies and a banjo.

"You get what you pay for" 2009-08-25
By Looneybin Jim (Cincinnati, OH USA)
Let me start by saying that this works great for what I bought it for. I needed a stand for Guitar Hero and Rock Band guitars, and it is perfect for this. But I don't think I'd be happy if I purchased it for my real guitars. Price is right at $19.99, but I think I'd invest a few more dollars to get something a little more heavy duty.

"NOT WORTH A BROKEN GUITAR!!!" 2009-06-01
By Eric Stanton (Washington, DC USA)
yeah it's a great price, but a triple guitar stand is supposed to fit 3 guitars on it. By the time you throw this piece of junk out, you will have lost 2 of them to random acts of guitar toppling after giving up on those annoying rubber neck restraints. I'm currently moping over a recent guitar tragedy for this exact reason. Why do the base holders not sit firmly? retarded. Get a huge amount of glue if you buy this junk to hold it in place. What a terrible waste.

"Decent for the price; you do get what you pay for" 2009-05-01
By Paul Wake (Utah)
We have an acoustic, an electric, and a bass on ours, and it's a near collision but they do fit. There's a little knob that lets you move the top holder in and out a short ways, but the knob doesn't stay tightened down well enough to keep the upper holders in position; they tend to slide back a bit to the not-out-all-the-way position. There's also a sort of handle on the top that you can use to carry the stand, but don't do it with your gear on it unless you're amazingly confident you've tightened the parts together, or the handle and shaft it's attached to will stay in your hand, and the rest of the stand will drop off the bottom. The rubber things that hold the necks of the guitar in against the top holders tend to come off easily. So, it's not the highest quality, but you'd have to pay a lot more for higher quality. For careful use around the house, it's fine for me.

 "Best stand for traveling." 2010-02-23
By T. Jones (TX)
This is the best stand to get if you need one while traveling. It folds up and stashes easily. Guitars are less likely to tip forward with this one. This stand very well constructed with solid feet. Because it only holds at the bottom, my guitars lean back further and take more floor space than with other stands.

"Pay no attention to the negative reviews" 2010-02-08
By S. Wright
This is a very solid stand for very little money. I almost did not buy it because of the negative reviews. Pay no attention. My tele does not lean back excessively as described in the negative reviews; does not sit too close to the floor; and the criticism that the guitar might collect too much dust is just plain stupid. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. This is a well made stand. I cannot speak for the other models from Onstage of this type but I am sure they are just as good as this early model of an Onstage aframe guitar stand.

 "Great stand!" 2009-12-18

This stand is sturdy, safe, and well built. It does exactly what it should and won't harm your guitar. I recommend it over cheaper stands that might not be as sturdy.

 "stage safe" 2009-11-18
By Terrence A. Piersol
This stand holds an acoustic guitar safely by using a greater tilt back angle than others I have purchased. Some leave a guitar sitting nearly verticle; allowing the instrument to fall forward at the least little bump or vibration. Its wide footprint and "hooked" cradle increase its stability. I'm currently using several.

"Leans back way too far" 2009-07-18
By Paul Bienick (Sarasota, FL USA)
I agree with one of the previous reviews that there is a design flaw in this product related to how far back the guitar leans when placed in the stand. Forget about placing this thing anywhere near a wall. Otherwise, it appears to be solid and quite portable.
