Any guitarist who prefers to use a stool should look carefully at this item, especially comparing the size of the guitar in the photo to the surprisingly compact stool on which it's sitting. The padded seat is positioned so you can "hook" your foot onto the stool crossbar and play comfortably. The stool is lightweight enough that it folds up so that it could easily be strapped to the guitar case and carried together.



Having recently begun a comprehensive guitar method, it is nice to have a resource like this to position me AND the guitar effectively. I was delighted at how well this does the job.

I bought the Mighty Bright after reading many user reviews. I bought the Mighty Bright XtraFlex Music Stand Light (Black) for book reading and not for a music stand as it name implies. This unit was less expensive then the Kindle version and only has one LED which uses less power then the 2 light LED units with both lights on.



This unit uses 3 inexpensive AAA batteries which came with the unit. Be careful that you don't buy a reading light that uses the very expensive button batteries that can cost as much as $8 for a set.



The light from the one LED seems remarkably bright compared to other LED book lights I have. The lens over the light does a great job in evenly distributing the light and I think it is what makes this light better then the others I have used.



Although the light is bright it is fairly concentrated by the lens so it does not spill over to disturb my wife, while at the same time lighting a large enough space to light both pages of my book.



What makes this light a "Music Stand Light" is unknown to me, and I use it as a book light and I find the clip holds well. The neck of the light seems longer then you would need for a book light and is very flexible, but it does hold where you place it.



The only negative I can see is the switch, which is on the top of the LED light head. It seems somewhat flimsy and I wonder how long it will last.

I have an electric guitar set up with a guitar synthesizer. It has an interface unit with large - and somewhat delicate - 13 pin cable plus connecting 1/4 inch cable on the bottom of the body, so it doesn't sit properly on a typical stand. This stand hangs the guitar perfectly from the headstock and instantly adjusts to any height, so the interface & cables are completely free & clear. Lightweight, sturdy and incredibly easy to set up and use. Hands down the best guitar stand for my purposes.

Very convenient stand. Holds my acoustic guitar securely and is so simple you can just lift it off and place it back easily. I am very careful with my equipment so I can't say how it would perform under rough circumstances. If one of the little retractable arms broke off I don't know what it would require to fix it.

I use this stand for both a Stratocaster Electric and a nice acoustic. The stand telescopes as needed to fit each guitar and so far is quite sturdy. I like this stand because my 3 year old and my 6 year old will both walk up and strum the guitar when I'm not looking. :) This guitar will not come off the stand when the guitar is pulled or jerked on. Perfect if small beings will be accosting your expensive equipment!

Other stands will hold guitars too, but the gripping action on this stand is nice if you ever want to move the guitar and stand without risking the guitar falling out. This makes my Previa keyboard look really good. However, it's built to be screwed right onto the keyboard, not for a keyboard to sit in. When assembled, it is too tight to fit the keyboard, and so the panels have to be rigged in resulting in bent plastic parts and screws showing.

I got this stand yesterday with my new Casio PX-320. I was planning to paint it a high-gloss black color to match my office furniture, but I was actually surprised that the dark finish looked so good. It's not jet black of course, but looks quite nice. It matches the PX-320 perfectly.



I was especially surprised at the thought Casio put into the assembly. They re-purposed the styrofoam packing material to serve as leg holders during assembly. This made it super easy to put it together for just 1 person. I have never seen that before and was very thankful since it made assembly so easy.



I do wish it were a tad sturdier though. I do notice some wobble while banging on the keys. Maybe that's because it's not pushed up flush against the wall (b/c of the baseboard). With it being so lightweight (as well as the keyboard), I guess it's not that surprising. Love it overall!

This is by far my favorite guitar stand. I'm not a professional musician (or guitar stand reviewer), but as I shopped the options I thought the Fender stand was by far the best.



It's compact, unobtrusive, solid, sturdy, and folds down small enough to be packed in carry-on luggage at the airport. Do note that the electric guitar version has a narrower support base than the acoustic guitar version. Some music stores carry these, many do not, so I was glad to see it available on Amazon.com.

I got this for my dad for his guitars. The only thing is, I would order it from Guitar Center next time. Finally had to contact customer service when a month had passed and no stand arrived. They said there had been an error, and would ship it immediately. Two weeks later, I was told there weren't any in stock. Then I received an email that it had shipped. So confusing.
