"Pod Mount makes great product better" 2010-07-17
By Ron Chibnik
I really like my POD X3 and wanted the bracket to make it more accessible in my rehearsal space - I like the fact that it mounts securely to a mic stand. Placing it under the amp strap is also an attractive option. This is a sturdy bracket that mounts any of the larger bean-shaped PODs - as I said, I have an X3 but the XT and Pod 2 should fit as well.

Two things I noticed:

- As others indicated the rubber inserts do not stay put, and you only get four of them, so be careful not to lose them. I couldnt think of a way to secure them permanently to the bracket but there might be a way using glue and washers.

One thing that is not clear from any of the pre sale information that I found is that the bracket can be permanently mounted using 6/32 x 3/4" screws. The Line6 site has some information about this but it is not clear. The screws are not included so you just have to pick them up at a hardware store. 1/2" screws might work as well - I spaced a nut between the head and the bracket. THe POD and POD XT aparently have threaded holes on the bottom that line up with the holes on the bracket. The X3 has no threads, but the screws work. This secures the bracket to the POD nicely.

Second thing I noticed is some people had problems with the mic mount bolt Line6 provides. I noticed that there are threads at one end of the bolt, and this had to be at the bottom in order to get a good hold on the mic stand threads. I tightened mine with a pliers but this might not be necessary.

I could see velcro'ing a mouse pad to the bottom as someone here suggested in order to get better traction using the POD on a desk.

I'm very happy with the bracket and recommend it for any POD owner. It places the POD at a very useful angle whether on a surface, amp or mic stand.

Hope this is helpful.

"A great way to make your POD more accessible" 2010-05-12
By S. Lawrence
Great stand for your POD, works as described. I have mine mounted on a mic stand which puts it within easy reach when playing. I can see why some have complained about the little rubber feet, they do not attach very securely to the base. I could see losing them if I were to take the pod on and off the stand often. Personally I leave mine on the mount all the time so I have had no issue's with them at all.

"What's up with the rubber feet?" 2009-12-02
By Diana De Avila (Malta, NY USA)
This accessory has the potential to be such an AWESOME addition to my Line 6 PODxt. I bought it imagining that it would make working and traveling with my pod easy and more ergonomic. Here's the main problem: the removable rubber feet have a hard time staying put.

I have owned my PodXT since 2006 and have had the mount just as long. I have to tell you that I have lost and found these little rubber feet since that time. The PodXT will NOT stay anchored for long in the mount because of the way the rubber feet anchor to the mount. They come undone very easily and I cannot tell you how many times my PodXT has crashed to the ground because of slight movements. That's not a fun sight! Lucky for me, the PodXT is very durable.

I recommend some re-engineering of the Pod Mount to make those rubber feet PERMANENT. It's been a hassle. Still, I use the mount when I can but am always bothered by those little feet. If I lose one (which I almost have), I'll be out of luck.

I love Line6 but hope they can re-engineer this product. So good conceptually except for the one factor - those darn removable feet!

 "Works Great" 2009-11-03
By Robert E. Cooper (Ft. Lauderdale, FL)
My POD mount and X3 sit on my desktop at the perfect angle. I velcro'd two mouse pads together with the "sticky" side out and set the POD on them 'cause the metal mount would slide around my desktop without them.

Yes, the POD is NOT securely attached to the mount. And yes, the little rubber feet could come off. But, for all intents and purposes, it works great. On stage, on a mic stand or on top of an amp, you could lift the POD off the stand and lose one or more of those little feet in the dark. But for $19, it's more than worth it in the studio.

 "Necessary evil" 2008-12-08
By Todd D. Rostalski (Bothell, WA)
The rubber posts fall out, the Pod is almost impossible to put on the rubber posts, if they stay in place, and I have no idea what the chrome screms are for because they have loosened almost instantly on every mic stand I have used them with.

"Just what I was looking for" 2010-10-08
By Drelyn
These are perfect. I wish I'd know they'd existed before, I would have bought them a long time ago.

They are relatively inexpensive and do the trick. These are easy to mount to the wall, adjust to the neck width of your guitar, are padded to protect it, and hold it securely on the wall. I purchased a few of them and all of my guitars (even my sons guitar hero remote guitar) hang in them perfectly and securely. I recommend these to anyone.

A few dry wall anchors and you're set! The moveable arms really help keep the neck aligned and in place.

"You'll still have to go to the hardware store" 2010-03-18
By KAK (Sacramento, CA)
I am using two of these to hang our Rock Band Guitar and Bass. They work wonderfully to keep the guitars off the floor and won't damage or scratch the plastic either. They actually look really cool hanging on the wall in the media room. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5....they didn't come with any screws. We had to take them to the hardware store to buy screws that would be long and narrow enough to fit through the holes on the holder into the wall.

 "Wall mount securely" 2010-03-06
By Kate Johnson (offshore)
I got one of these for a large acoustic guitar and mounted it to the side of a painted bookshelf. I like the way the 'arms' conform to the guitar neck. They adjust to the instrument and allow for different size necks and headstock. We decided to turn an unused wall into a guitar hanging area and bought four more of these mounts to put on a board which my husband installed by screwing the board into studs. He remarked 'you could do pull-ups' on these mounts.

He had previously bought a different brand of wall-mount for his guitar but prefers the K & M mounts because of their looks and versatility for different size necks.

"Happy with this wall mount." 2010-01-18
By Lisa Crawford (Wilmington, NC)
I sent my sister the link to purchase these wall mounts for my son for Christmas. He has four guitars. She purchased two so we could try them out and be sure they would work out as we had hoped. They were easy to mount (on a stud) and seem to be a good product. We will be purchasing two more for his other two guitars. It is certainly nice to have them up off the floor. Not sure what the problem was with the shipping issues for the others who purchased these but it must have since been resolved. We did not have a problem and are happy with the product.

 "Sturdy Shock Mount" 2009-10-27
By T. Lindsay Foster (Charlotte, North Carolina United States)
I use the Samson SP01 shock mount with my Audio Technica 2020USB microphone. As another reviewer suggested, I placed three small self-adhesive pads between the shock mount and the mic to eliminate the slight wobble of the mic. The SP01 shock mount is sturdy and well-made. I am very pleased with it.

Samson SP01 Shockmount = 5 STARS

I bought this Samson SP01 Shockmont to use with my Audio Tecnica AT2020USB microphone. It looked as though the two pieces would fit together, but they don't. Not very well anyway. Because of the construction of the mic, it would not tighten down enough to keep from wiggling around. So I took a rubber gasket made for a typical garden hose and used it for a spacer. It them tightened down perfectly. Problem solved. Now the two pieces work perfectly and in harmony together.

This Audio Technica AT2020USB Condenser USB Microphone works beautifully. Just plug it in to any USB and off you go. How easy is that? The sensitivity is great and fully adjustable.

This Shock Mont does what it is supposed to do and eliminate vibration and exterior noise that can translate into your recording. Although the two pieces are different colors, they look great together. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

 "Great shockmount" 2009-06-14
By A. Castillo (Arizona)
When you get it, it looks so simple, so basic that you can't believe that it doesn't come with the mic, but companies got to make their money right? I use it with my Samson CL8 condenser and it is perfect. Works great for podcasting, vocals or anything else you want to record. The adjustment knob is a little tight but whatever, it does its job well.
