This pedal doeas alot for what its worth. It has lots of great models ans sims in it, and a built in drum machine just adds to the flavor. I use this for silent practice, just plug in headphones and go! the John5 sounds are really good and definitly interesting. I would reccomend this unit to anyone looking to get a nu-metal type sound on a budget. BUT...it does much more than that, dont stereotype this pedal cause of John 5, its very versatile.

Pedal board is a necessary feature for the Casio PX330. It has simple installation and actually adds stability to the piano stand. The piano and stand are black, however, the pedal board is gray. It still looks nice, but perhaps would have looked better in black. But aside from appearance, the whole Casio design is excellent. It's a fine piano to have fun with, and has all the features you could want. The Pedal board works fine. I'm very pleased with the purchase, the price, and the quality. The Casio PX330 with the Pedal Board is a great piano for any home, very sleek in design, doesn't take up much room, and sounds great!

Actually I have not got a change to test this mic because my audio interface ( the Presonus FireBox) has not enough gain to boost the signal from this dynamic mic. So I cannot talk much about the recording performance but I would have some comment on the body, design and service.



The mic is very study, nice and pro made (as usual from SHURE). I think it would fit very well for the one need a rug mic like live show...



The seller-Streamline Audio Video ([...]) shipped this very ontime as they promised and they are very mice. As told previously my Firebox cannot work with this mic (because of the preamp on firebox is too low gain) and I need to return this mic to the seller. I callem them and made very nice guy who guided me well how to return it without any claim. NICE.



The bottom line here is this dynamic mic may fit well with the one have a good mic preamp ( more than 60 dvb/pa) other wise you need a condenser mic. NOTE that the Presonus Firebox CANNOT work with this mic without a separately strong mic preamp. So for the ones who plan to buy this mic for home recording with Firebox, please try a different one like AKG Perception 120 Condenser Mic.

The SM48 has got to be the world's most underrated vocal mic. It has a nice presence to it, with a frequency response which is flattering to the human voice. The absence of an output transformer gives it a crispness which is lacking even from the venerable SM58. I've compared dozens and dozens of mics side by side, dynamic and condenser, and for the human voice the SM48 is one of my favorites.



The "LC" in the model number means "less cable", meaning it doesn't come with a cable.

This is not the first noise gate on my board, I also have a Boss gate. I say this is better than expected, because I expected it to work just like the Boss pedal, but perhaps less well. But, in fact, it works better than the Boss, and this is because it has an indicator light to tell you when the gate is open or closed, which makes it much easier to setup. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to.

I have an older cheap fretless p-bass that creates a bunch of noise, the pedal works pretty good at cutting it out during pauses, and during regular play. It does a great job of reducing feedback when used with distortion and reverb affects, even when I use my warwick. Price was spot on. If it was metal, it would be 5 star, but alas.

If you know what a noise gate is supposed to do and you think you might need one, then I highly recommend this unit.



I'm about to get a second one and put all my distortion-creating devices in the loop (other Behringer units, Rat, Big Muff, etc etc). The one I already have can stay at the end of my signal chain, just before the delays. Pretty much a must-have for recording, especially during those quiet spots :-) Thanks to this unit I have a very quiet recording setup.

I have a Behringer Ultra Bass amp which has a good deal of hum, which I bought this unit to eliminate. It works to a certain degree. The ground loop hum caused by mono cables was reduced by a good amount, but the buzzing caused by fluorescent lights or other environmental sources was not reduced.



In addition, a stereo cable needs to be used from the Hum Destroyer to the amp, as a mono cable will only create more ground loop hum.



I have not used other hum cancelling devices so I have nothing to compare it against. I can say the unit appears to be well made and the input/output jacks have a nice tight feel, keeping the cables securely in place.

I purchased a couple of these to have on hand, and almost immediately found uses for them. So I bought another to have a spare; found a need for it, so bought another spare, etc. Now I have five of them!

They are simple, well-built, and do the job. They are especially handy when matching unbalanced outputs to balanced inputs, as when connecting consumer equipment to professional gear.

No, they won't clean up dirty audio for you - that isn't what they are for. But for matching and hum elimination, they are a quick and inexpensive fix. I especially like the dual, independent channels; and yet, they are inexpensive enough that I don't mind using just one channel if that is all I need.
